What to Wear

Sometimes the most stressful part, aside from finding time in your busy schedule, is choosing what to wear.

There are a million google and Pinterest options out there but sometimes it’s hard to know just which, or what, to choose!

A few questions I like to ask people :

What will you be most comfortable in?

What will you be most YOU in?

And what will you be happy to look back on for the rest of your days on this beautiful earth? Pictures last a life time - so no pressure, haha.

Try to stay away from big logos, words, and defining prints. Wear comfortable clothes, linens, dresses, sandals, boots ie. don’t wear a suit if you don’t wear one everyday (or unless we’re doing your business head shots).

That being said ALWAYS dress up and feel your BEST.

If wearing high heals know our location and plan to potentially go barefoot (please, these make the cutest shots), and keep you from toppling over.

Match and blend.

Not necessarily identical twin match (however this is often pretty cute on kiddos) but match your tones and styles to eachother. Blend browns and natural neutral tones like beiges, light sandy or earthy tones. If denim is the theme stick with that throughout. You can always have multiple outfits, we can talk about this ahead of time to allow for time and location to make it all work.

If flowing dresses are the theme, stick with that too. As your photographer I will not alter your appearance or body during editing. I will help you prepare your wardrobe for your shoot so that you feel you best, and I will prompt you to snuggle in for those great family moments.
